The Sonoma soccer community lost Coach Flajnik unexpectedly in October, 2006. His good friend, Sam Morphy, owner of The Red Grape, chose SVYSA as the beneficiary of a gift of $1,500.00, matched by other local businesses to round out the Joe Flajnik Memorial Scholarship Fund for 2010.
This season, SVYSA has awarded approximately $11,000.00 in scholarships to children who otherwise may not have played soccer in our league.
On behalf of our local children playing soccer this season, our heartfelt gratitude goes to Sam and his family (The Red Grape).

Sonoma Soccer is finally up and running with eScrip, an easy way for us to raise funds from everyday purchases around town and on the internet.
If you are familiar with eScrip and already have an account, we ask that you add Sonoma Valley Youth Soccer Association to your list of beneficiaries. You'll find handy links on this website homepage.
If not yet enrolled with eScrip, no worries! We'll assist you every step of the way. It's pretty easy to do yourself just by clicking on the link here on the website. If you don't end up being able to get to it by the time we host our Walk-In Registrations and other soccer events, we'll have helpful volunteers on hand to assist you with eScrip sign ups.
Whether you are enrolled or not, you may contribute to SVYSA by shopping online with eScrip vendors at the eScrip Online Mall. You'll be surprised at the list of everyday shopping you can do there and how fast your eScrip contributions add up.

The Fundraising committee is looking for volunteers to help with the planning and execution of wide range of tasks for 2010. This will involve some time in the first half of the year for putting on a large fundraising event. After negotiations with the Sonoma Valley Unified School District, Sonoma Valley Youth Soccer Association is funding much needed repairs to these school fields.
Signs are posted, asking that no one go on the fields until the work is completed.
The work is being done professionally by a local contractor and is a multi-faceted, extremely detailed process.
Since there was no budget for this project, yet it was imperative that these renovations take place now, during the winter months, SVYSA would gratefully accept donations to help defray the significant cost which has been undertaken by the league, exclusively, and for the benefit of all sports, including Sonoma Soccer.

Proudly show your support of Sonoma Soccer on your vehicle windows and in your business windows by displaying a NEW Sonoma Soccer Decal, available for $10 each. This is a donation which covers the cost of the decal and helps with field improvements. To purchase decals, please look for them at the SVHS field games or email your request to decals@sonomasoccer.org.
