Referees will continue to get paid at the beginning of every month, for work performed during the previous month.
To comply with CYSA and IRS guidelines, all referees for the regular seasons will be paid by check through the mail rather than in cash, and all personnel earning over $600 in a calendar year will need to provide SVYSA with their Tax ID Number (usually an SSN) before that threshhold is crossed.
Referees should complete paperwork early in the year with their updated data, to ensure timely payments.
Payment of referees for NorCal games will now be made directly from the treasurer to the referees at the end of the month for bookkeeping purposes. All payments for referees for NorCal games will be made by the treasurer from the teams' individual accounts. |
