Multi-sibling discount continues for 2010! A $10 discount will be given for the second and subsequent players from each family.
Registration deadline is May 31, 2010 |
If you are registering online you will still need to send in the required two copies of your player's CYSA Form 1601. Please use the link provided during your on-line registration session. This will produce a data-populated form, which only requires a signature in the "Medical Liability and Release" box.
If for some reason you no longer have that form available, then print two copies of a regular blank CYSA Form 1601 (same as above), fill them out, sign them and mail them in.
Our parent body CYSA does require actual wet ink signatures. Once signed, the forms must be sent in by mail to: Registrar, POB 1992, Sonoma, CA 95476, along with the player's birth certificate (if they have not played with us in the last two years) and payment (if paying by check). |
PLEASE DONATE old shin guards, cleats, uniforms, practice jerseys, shorts, and socks (in clean, gently used condition). Drop off location: Picazo Café & Deli, 19100 Arnold Drive (at Grove) Mon-Sat 6am - 4pm Pick up used gear: If you are in need of soccer gear for your child(ren), you may visit Picazo Café & Deli, look in the Green Collection Bin, and take anything that fits you.
The Gear Exchange Program will end in September. |
Once the registration period has ended, the Age Group Coordinators and the Registrar will create teams. Coaches receive their team rosters on or around mid-July, and typically call their players soon afterwards. If you have not received a call by July 31, you should contact your Age Group Coordinator (see the Director’s page for contact links). Any inquiries regarding team placement, practices, uniforms, etc. should be directed to the age appropriate Age Group Coordinator listed on the Directors page of this website. Inquiries regarding fees or registration procedures should be directed to the registrar at registrar@sonomasoccer.org.
Coaches may schedule practices to start by the end of July but most of the younger teams won't start practicing until early August.
Opening Day and Picture Day will be on Saturday, August 21st. Games will happen each weekend through early November. Most games are played on Saturdays, but some might be scheduled on Sundays. Depending on the number of teams in each age group, a team may even be scheduled with a “bye” on a particular weekend.
Your player’s full schedule will be forwarded to you by the coach, shortly after they receive it in mid-August. |

The registration of each player and coach is at the discretion of the Sonoma Valley Youth Soccer Association pursuant to CYSA guidelines.
While it is SVYSA's intention to provide soccer opportunities to as many players as possible, SVYSA is not obliged to register any particular player.
Not registering a particular player may be the result of not having an appropriate team available, not having an appropriate coach available, documentation and the payment of fees not being completed, a previous history of player or parent behavior problems, or other factors. |
|
SVYSA will refund player fees in full, less a $20 insurance and data processing fee, if a written request is received by us prior to the player's team playing their first game, AND prior to the start of the fall playing season, Saturday, August 21, 2010. No refunds will be processed after that time.
Refunds will not include credit card charges, our late fees, or other finance charges.
Requests for refunds must either be mailed to PO Box 1992, Sonoma, CA 95476, or emailed to registrar@sonomasoccer.org. Please include the players name, age group, birthdate and whom to make the check out to, and a mailing address. |
We are always looking for assistance at the walk-in registration sessions. We have a job for every skill level, and Spanish speakers are always in high demand. Please email the registrar if you would like to offer assistance. |
Dear Parents, Coaches, and Age Group Coordinators:
When dropping off or picking up material from me, please use the green soccer box near my front door, located at 18822 Riverside Dr. (between Verano Ave. and El Verano School). It is marked SVYSA. Please do NOT use the US Postal Service mail box on the street as our postal carrier removes and returns anything without postage that hasn't passed through the post office.
Parents, if you need to communicate with someone in the League about your player, please contact your coach or Age Group Coordinator (listed on the Directors page), as most issues can be solved at the coach and AGC level.
Coaches and AGCs, if you need to communicate with me about anything, email is preferred as it helps accurately document what needs to be addressed.
Thank you.
Sincerely, Renee Caruso SVYSA Registrar registrar@sonomasoccer.org |
